We ended up at the local E.R. (trust me you would laugh if you got to see it-it is in a 20 bed "hospital") last night. Jake tripped over a toy in his room and hit the wood corner of his bed frame. He split the area right below his eyebrow wide open. So off we were for what I have a feeling will only be the beginning of our E.R. trips with this one. Stitches are apparently not favored
anymore so we glued his wound closed and then used butterfly stitches to finish it up. Brad and I left thinking we just spent $600 on something we could have done ourselves. Then this morning we had proof of it. First thing this morning, with a little help from the dog, the wound was wide open and bleeding profusely. So I removed the old bandage and replaced it with a new one. The only problem is I have no one to bill it to, I would bill it to Brad but I have a feeling he would not be up for paying that one :>) He is doing fine though and was quite the tuff nut through the whole thing. He cried right when it happened but then we never heard another wimper out of him.

It has not all been bad though. Brad and Chris poured cement today for the shop and the kids all got to leave their mark. This was something Brad really insisted on since as all of you I am sure know working on a dirt floor is a pain in the butt! Now though he has a nice area where he can roll around and get under stuff easier. They didn't do the whole floor due to the fact that it is a very large shop and the back half is used strictly for parking equipment so there was no reason to have that big of a skating rink. Though if you ask Kendra she thinks it should have been, so that she could skate while dad works on stuff.

Do you notice the discoloring of Brad's shirt? That is sweat due to a humidity level that is soooooo not n
ormal. It was only about 70-75 degrees but the way they were sweating you would have thought it was at least 100. The locals tell us we ought to be getting use to it by now. We tell them we were dry landers for 30 years and it is going to take more the a few months to get used to that stuff.
Brad and Chris discussing
ways to solve the worlds problems.
