Birthdays!

This was how we finished out Jayla's birthday at home, looks relaxing huh? I think she had a good day. She made out like a bandit in the gift department. I do believe that everyone knows of her love for horses. When all was said and done she ended up with a horse jewelry box, a horse blanket, a horse book, horse coloring pages as well as a horse calendar. She also got a locket and a tomagachie (like I know how to spell that word). Since it was the superbowl we had snack foods for her meal, she thought that was cool...junk food all day! The night before we had her spagetti dinner and went and watched Alvin and the Chipmuncks. The kids really liked that movie. Jayla had went down to the front to watch the movie with some friends but said that she could hear Jake through the whole movie, he was in the back. Jake would have to repeat every phrase that he thought was funny...loudly! We all had a good time. Brad and I liked the movie and thought that it was funny, mainly due to the fact that the kids watching it and their reactions were the funniest. Sunday night I volunteered to work the concession stand for the movie so I took all the kids again. There were only a few kids there on Sunday so it did not seem as funny, without all the little ones laughing.

Dad and Kendra had to tag team the spankin's

Think these 2 are related?

Brad is finally 30!!! So now when we call him the "old man" it fits. Plus he has made fun of me for the past 9 months for being 30. I tried to make it to town and get a whole bunch of "Over the Hill" decorations in honor of him turning 30 but in typical fashion you can't find ANYTHING worth buying in the big old town of O'Neill! I was so irritated yesterday since I had drove there just for the decorations. How hard is to supply over the hill party plates?! They had Spongebob and Dora. They even had little old lady lilly plates but not one over the hill decoration in 2 stores!! Then as I get ready to leave town in a huff I go by my coffee house to try and settle my nerves with a double shot of espresso and the coffe house is closed..."be back soon"!! I wanted to scream, and I wanted to open my very own Wal-Mart. Oh well, I guess I will just have to make my own decorations.

Doesn't he look impressed?!

Notice that we had to use toothpicks,
we ran out of candles.

I know we must be getting older though. We are even starting to groan when we get up. We spent last night removing buttons from old tags that they want to reuse this year and when Brad and I got up after finishing them (they only took us about an hour) we were both hunched over like we were 80! Now that is just sad, we aren't really all THAT old.

Nice family huh?
