Happy Fall to All!

For those of you still having to pay $2.80-$3.00 I thought I would share our prices with you :o)

Since this past week has been filled with Jake wisdom I thought it fitting to start this blog with him. Jake dresses himself completely whenever we are not going to town and as you can see with the picture to the left there is a reason he is only allowed to do that when we aren't going out in public. Jayla and him picked me some very pretty red leaves and brought them to me; it just so happened that his dad was in the house when he did. Dad was not impressed with this outfit nor was he impressed that I took a picture of it :o) He is one of a kind.

In the past week Jake has really been stretching his wings. He is trying out a new independence and is butting heads with his parents. I had to laugh the other day when I was making snack for all the kid's. They were down stairs playing and they sent up the little snope to see if it was clear to come and ask yet again if snack was ready. Since it was within a minute or two of being done Jake decided he would just stay upstairs and that way he would be first in line. Once I had finished I hollered for the girls and received no response. I hollard again with still no response. It was at this time that Jake informed me of what was truly going on "they can't hear you because we shut the door 'cause we don't want you to know what we are doing". No truer words have ever left that little boy's mouth. Not to mention I was thinking to myself 'if your sisters were up here they would be beating you right now!'.

You would think that would be enough information/Jakeism for one week but as of last night we have a little more info to share. I had to work at the theatre last night so we all went in to watch Long Shots, a cute little story about a girl football player. Well at one point in the movie the other boy players are not playing fairly and are tackling this young girl over and over. The young girl finally gets sick of it and throws the football directly at one very sensitive area on the boy tackler. Jake at the top of his voice yells out "OOOOHHHHHH she hit him right in the __________!!! Fortunately, ever person there with the last name of Froman went into defense mode...Kendra slammed her hand over his mouth and there was a unision of Jayla, Brad and I all at once saying SSSHHHHHHHH!!! Everyone in the theatre chuckled however for what was implied by my loud mouth son ;o)

Ok I think we are done with the Jake portion of our week and can now move on to the girls. Who by all accounts are just good girls. I had parent teacher conferences on Friday and am happy to say the girls are doing great. Kendra ended up with a 95% in reading, 88% in spelling, 91% in language and an 86% in math. We are going to work on the math section a little because I still feel she struggles a little more then the grade indicates. Over all though she is doing great. Jayla's teacher likewise thinks Jayla is doing great. They are talking about getting her back into speech which I think is great. Now that she is reading more and more her speech adds a little bit of difficulty for her. She has to think so hard about each sound before she can sound out the word that it just slows her down. She is average for her A.R. rating 2.1-2.6 I just think she would fly if her speech came easier to her. Overall though, she is doing great as well. I have no complaints and am a pretty proud mama.

We had homecoming two weeks ago and the kids looked cute in the parade. These are a few pictures from that day.

Waiting for the free candy!

Since I have not really done a blog in a very long time this one seems to be becoming a book! Oh well after today you will all be up to date on the Froman family. Below I added just a couple of pictures of my school. It is not too bad of a school, small enough not to be overwhelming but big enough to feel like you are actually going to college. I took these pictures on a FRIDAY afternoon...I wonder where all the people are????
