Disney...

Sorry this has taken me so long. I have been promising to get this blog up for the past week and in my defense I did have it almost done once and then my internet went down and I lost it all, so I became lazy when it came to doing it again, but it's here now :o)

Here is a video I shot while at Laguna Beach. You will have to forgive the quality, I just used my camera. You will also have to forgive the very loud voice at the end of the video...since I am right next to the camera and do not have what you would call a genteeel voice it is a bit on the abrasive side when I start laughing :o)

The kids had a great time. Though I think we wore them out. When we finally got home from everything Kendra slept for 15 hours straight and Jayla woke up after 10 hours then fell back asleep for an additional 3. I think Disneyland was the favorite, though Kendra really enjoyed the beach. The favorite rides were Splash Mountain and Priates of the Carribean. Jake's favorite was deffinitley the pirates. We rode that ride 4 or 5 times! We ended up doing Splash mountain twice and Space Mountain only once, but I think that was more my fault then anything :o)

Since I have been to Disneyland once before my family was kind of depending on me to give them a heads up on any rides that may cause stress. For some reason I could not remember much about Space Mountain. From what I could remember it was no big deal...you sit in a simulator and watch a screen. So we all decided to ride, even my mom who does not care for any rides that are known for casuing stomach problems. We stood in line and as we proceeded things were not seeming like I remembered them. When we got on the ride I was really thinking this doesn't seem right but we're here and how bad can it be?? About half way through the ride I realized that none of it was familiar because I had NEVER been on this ride before! Space Mountain is a psycodelic roller coaster! It is dark, other then the flashes of lights, so you never know what is coming up...or down. My poor mom got so sick that she was pretty much done for the day when it came to any more rides.

I was glad to find out that the kids are actually pretty good fliers. We flew Frontier and they have t.v.'s so that helped some but no one got too scared and no one got sick. In fact I think the best part for Jake was when we hit some turbulance coming back into Denver, his response was...Yeee Haaww! One of the most important parts of flying, at least for my kidos, was what animal was on our tail. For those of you who are not familiar with Frontier airlines they have different animals on their tails and wings. On our trip out we had a Polar Bear cub and then on our way back to CO we had two fox cubs named Mo and Jo. As we waited for the flight to come in the kids had to run back and forth from the window everytime a new plane came into view wondering if that was going to be ours and if it had a cool animal on it or not. On the flight out we were somewhat divided where every adult had a child but on the way home we took up a whole row, which was nice because then you didn't have to ask anyone to get up for a bathroom break. Ironically when we were divided up all three kids had to go to the bathroom so we had to disturb three seperate people (all of us were on the inside), Heather had to actually wake some poor guy up :o) On the way home when we wouldn't have bothered anyone of course NO one had to use the bathroom, I guess that's just the way things work ;o)

Here are a few more pictures of the trip. I will probably end up doing another slide show since we have so many but these will start us off!
