We are done with branding for another year, YEA! It went rather smoothly all things considered. They branded 178 calves, worked 178 cows and planted 200 trees. It was a very busy day. 
Her original job was the picking up and disposing of the "Rocky Mountain Oysters"...not very glamorous to say the least. She ended up becoing a maker girl. She followed one of the vaccine guys and marked the calf with a color so they could make sure every calf got every vaccine.
I have to tell a story that was passed on to me about my our son, so bear with me while I dust off my story telling skills :o)
A few weeks ago we attended a friend's wedding, as some of you already know. Jake, as most of you know as well, is not a shy boy and will visit and talk with anyone about anything. On this particular day he decided to question our friend Terri's husband, Joe. This church has many stained glass windows showing various scenes with Jesus in them. Jake turned to Joe and asked him "so which one of these guys is Jesus?" Since some pictures were pictures of a baby and some were of a grown man, it was a little bit confusing. Joe did the best that he could to try and explain things for my son, though I am not sure he totally gets it quite yet :o)
We have arrived at a name...Jed. We finally decided on this name after a whole day of arguing about it. I think Brad just assumed he would get to name it, but with 3 children that wasn't going to happen...of course I had to throw my two cents in as well. Finally Jake was getting tired of all the arguing and he said let's just name it Judge Judy. That led to Judd which finally led to Jed (Jayla's idea) and the final decision.
