Spring is Here!

What an Easter surprise! This little guy, who's mama keeps him close, is the latest addition to our herd. Ironically his daddy is named Friday because he was born on Good Friday and now his son was born on Easter, I think we have some blessed horses in our herd. Brad has been debating for a few months whether or not Little Lou was infact pregnant or not...mystery solved! While feeding today he could see the new little one up on the hill with his mother so he came to get all of us. The kids had no idea that we even thought she might be pregnant (we didn't want to have the disappointment if we were wrong) so they were surprised!

Brad was actually able to go over and pet him for a moment, though mom did a good job at keeping him safe :o)

We can't forget that today is Easter and therefore there was a very important easter egg hunt that took place. Kendra ended up with the most eggs and the most money but they all made out pretty good. Jake got a football and some football cards, Jayla got some paints and a birdhouse that needed some color and Kendra got a necklace and a Jonas Brothers poster.

We had a late night last night with some friends being over so we still need to color our eggs but luckly the easter bunny was ok with just hiding the plastic eggs this year.

We also made a fast trip to Colorado last weekend for a friends wedding. The weather was questionable to say the least. All in all though we had a great time visiting with old friends and catching up with the old Eagles Nest crew. Jake got to reunite with an old friend, Smokey. They are best friends!

Along with Smokey, Jake got to spend some time with his other friends, Todd, Jordan and Shep (the groom). I got to vist with friends as well, Jane and Terri :o)
