Homecoming Week!

Never let a cheap mom come up with an idea for Hawaii Day, you'll end up with 3 dollar tree hats and a pack of wall decorations that she'll turn into masks :o) While homecoming week is a fun time for the kids I have often wondered how it is that the parents are supposed to come up with the costumes for it. This week they have caveman day, food day (where you dress up as your favorite food) and Hawaiian day. I am too cheap to spend $50 on costumes for homecoming when I know in about a month I will have to spend $60 for Halloween costumes. I like it when they have "crazy hair day" and P.J. day, they're a lot cheaper to participate in.
I will try and get pictures of the other days as well and post them in good time.

The kids took some school pictures this past week and while I don't mind them I think I am going to wait for the spring pictures. The school here has two separate photographers come, one in the fall and one in the spring and I like the photos taken by the spring photographer better. Here are the ones they took last week though.

Here is a pictures I took the morning of picture day. It is kind of on the dark side due to the lighting we currently have in our livingroom. We switched to the long life bulbs (you know the ones that are supposed to last for 7 years) and we either picked wrong or the light quality is just not as clear and bright as the cheap bulbs. So you'll have to forgive the appearance.
We have also had a new member join our small house, thanks to an Aunt who seems to think that the kids need a "real cat" we now have Tiger. For those of you who have met our cat Sophie then you probably know that she is not exactly the most friendliness cat in the world. She does not like to be held, she does not come out from under my bed during the day and she refuses to play anything. Tiger on the other hand loves to sleep on the girls, and she plays with strings and balls and loves to be anywhere the kids are. They Love her!
