5 months later....

Wow can the time fly when you are having fun, or are very busy.  It has been a few days since my last posting so I imagine most of you have even stopped checking the blog for a new one so this may be a waste of time in the long run :)  There are some of you that are tried and true though and I know have been wondering where I had disappeared to.  Where to begin, I guess we will start with the summer.

Like with many areas around the country, this summer was extremely dry and that is very abnormal for this area.  We had our share of fires that Brad was up front and center for.  Brad is not unfamiliar with fires, we did grow up in the dry flatlands of Colorado but in Colorado it is always dry so there is not a lot in the area of fuel for the fire to feed off of.  Since it is usually very wet here we have plenty of fuel to feed a fire and feed it we did.  The bottom picture is of the back burn Brad and his gang did to keep it from coming towards our house.  Brad was usually smelly, dirty
and tired when he would get home.  We had about 10 days where the average night sleep was in the 4-5 hour range.  But thanks to a lot of helping hands we are good to go.  Brad and Mike just now have thousands of feet of fence to rebuild, job security is what I keep telling him.

In addition to all the fires this year we did have a little fun.  Along with a trip to Colorado the kids got to do camp again.  This was Jake's first year and he had a very good time.  Jayla and him went at the same time so he was not completely on his own but close enough.  Kendra joined in later in the week for basketball camp so for a couple of days all three Froman's were at camp.

After all the fun, school was bound to start.  This year was a little different  since I had my own classroom, which we spent a good portion of the summer getting ready.  That could be its own blog in and of itself so I will not bore you with all those details but this school year is a little different but I think the kids like the difference.  Except after school when mom stays late to work and the kids wish they were anywhere but there.
Along with teaching preschool I am also the class sponsor for the 7th and the 8th grades.  Along with the job description of being a sponsor is the title "chief homecoming float creator".  Below is our first place "Hunger Games" float, that's right the junior high beat the high school.  Though I have to tell you all, the extra $32 a year a sponsor gets for being a sponsor is sooooo not worth it when you are trying to build a float with the 4 students that will actually work and trying to keep the other 12 or so from destroying your classroom or killing each other with a staple gun.  Since it is 7th and 8th grade I also got to listen to how our floats 'sucked' more than once that afternoon...so made it worth it, let me tell you.

Jayla made her escape before I could get her in this picture.  This was geek/nerd day at school during homecoming.  Got to love the Dollar store!
Picture day came and went and these were taken that morning.  How they grow...

Sports are in full swing as well.  Jake just finished flag football and Kendra has her last volleyball game on Monday.  She is very excited for basketball to begin being as that is her favorite sport.

I now remember why I kept putting off a new blog...I hate the new blogspot.  It is difficult to get pictures where I want them and it leaves big open spaces in between things.  It is very frustrating but at least I got another blog done.  We are all doing fine.  Like I said we are busy, but who isn't right?  We are all happy and healthy and that is all that matters.  I do know that Brad likes me having a paycheck.  In the past month that man has bought a horse trailer, a horse, a three ton floor jack and he is trying his hardest to get a saddle bought but we are still under negotiations on that one.  Needless to say he is a happy camper.
Love to all!!
