Being as I am really a dry lander by nature I am used to praying for the rain. I have never in my life actually wished the rain would go away. Last night the kids and I had a singing session that consisted of only one song "Rain, Rain, Go Away". Brad and I were laughing that we have never seen this amount of rain. We used to be thrilled if we got a 1/2 inch, that seemed like a good amount of rain fall to us. Now, or at least for the past week and a half we would be thrilled if it would slow down and ONLY give us a 1/2 inch a day. To count we have had over 6 inches of rain in the past 11 days. Most of

that has been in the last 5 or 6 days. Brad jokes that he doesn't just need his mud boots now, he also needs a Snorkel!
We had Brad's youngest Brother and his wife visit for a few days and of course we had to induct Teresa (C.J.'s Wife) into the family properly. We needed to cut some tags out of some steers that are heading down the road next week and since we had extra help, we used it! Teresa ended up pushing cattle up to the tub and when all was said and done she was covered in sluge. I told Brad that if you shut your eyes and plug your nose you would swear you were a

t a babbling brooke with the noise all those steers were making as they walked through the water. We did however remind C.J. what life was like on the ranch being as he now has a good job at an ethanol plant. We would have taken pictures of Teresa and me afterwards but who wants those kinds of pictures floating around? :o)

As you can tell my sister has sent me my camera and has taken care of me again, Thanks Heath! So I have some pictures from our last trip to Colorado. We had a good time and enjoyed

visiting with everyone. Brad and I even had a night without the kido's. My mom and sister took them and we were left all on our own. It was our first "date" night in months and do you know what we did? Brad went and visited Larry Kubo and then we went through the drive thru at Taco Bell and then went to bed...Sad Huh? We have been out of pratice for so long that I think we have forgotten how ;o) T

his Friday however I am trying out a local babysitter. One of the wives from here in town called me and said they have a ladies night once a month where they get together and solves the world's problems...ok ok she really said they get together and drink and play games but I bet we still solve a lot of problems when you get right down to it.
Brad is on his way down to CO again. This time for his families Ranch Sale. They are having the sale on Saturday and I am sure it is not going to be an easy day for any of them. The kids and I are going to stay here this time since I think this is more of a family occassion. Having never been through one of these I am not sure how it will go but I can imagine and I am sure it wont be easy...I don't envy any of them. The good news is though that I think all of the boy

s are going to be there so that should help. Mike has taken off this whole past week just getting ready. If you can imagine how much stuff you would have after 54 years in the same place? Brad and I had so much junk accumulated after only a few years in the same place, I can't imagine how bad it would be after that much time!
Well this is us in a nut shell....Wet and busy! I never thought I would actually pray for wind but I find myself doing exactly that. Hopefully it will start to dry out around here. Fortunitly I don't have to feed this weekend. I had volunteered so that Brad would not worry but I am so glad that the brothers said that they would come and do it. After all this rain I think it would take me all day to feed. Hope you are all good and I will keep in touch.
