Well our Christmas looks as though it will indeed be a white Christmas. It sure looks pretty, just so long as you don't have to drive anywhere. You know I have never liked to drive in the snow, I have always had the opinion "I am not worried about me, I am worried about the idiot beside me". It is thoughts like these that would keep me home during even the smallest of snow storms. Well now there are no idiots anywhere near me and I still don't want to drive in the stuff. Now days it has a lot to do with the hills we have around here. We have only received about 7 inches of snow but yesterday Brad got a load of wet distiller grain (the corn mush left over from these ethanol plants) and the truck had to put on his chains to get here. He was fine for the first 70 miles, it was only the last 5 that gave him problems. Part of the problem is that the hills do not receive any sunlight, so they still have the layer of ice that we received a few weeks ago. They are not my favorite things to drive on to say the least.

We had the kid's first Christmas Program on Tuesday night. They will have another one with the church Sunday. They had a good time and were very cute in their little Christmas Tree costumes. The program was titled "The littlest Christmas Tree". Kendra got to have a speaking part in this play so she was so excited. She did a nice job, you could hear her loud and clear...That's MY girl! They even rapped a Christmas song which was probably the cutest of them all.

See if you can find the Cutest little trees!
They look so sweet and innocent...
Could it be a Christmas Miracle?!
:o)

My little helper and I made fudge on Wednesday, boy was that fun. I thought that fudge would be a good treat for me to make during
the holidays. I thought it would be good due to the fact that I was under the impression that I don't like fudge which would in turn keep me out of it. Ladies out there you know what I am talking about!! Boy was I wrong. The last time I really had fudge (other then a nibble here and there just to be polite at parties) was when I was a child. I thought it was a cruel joke! No chocolate should have tasted that bad! It looked good, it had "hot chocolate fluff" in it. By all standards it should have been great. It wasn't! So that seemed like a safe treat to pursue. Boy have times changed. I tried some, more for the fact that Jake kept trying to offer me a bite so I finally gave in and took a bite and said "Thank you". That was where my trouble started. Man is that stuff good. It is so smooth and creamy...it practically melts in your mouth and now all I can say is "No Fair!" Why couldn't I have liked the stuff when I was little and hated it now that I am older? Life is just not fair!!

He really likes fudge :o)

Hey hey hey!!
I didn't know you guys moved to Nebraska. It's my own fault though, if I bothered to read your blog I would have found out a long time ago :)
We are going to be moving too, this summer. Guest where?! It's a town called Ames, Iowa, and it's about a 6-hour drive from you guys. How cool is that? I accepted a job as an assistant professor at Iowa State University, to start in Fall 2008. When it gets closer to summer, we should talk more, because I want to stop by and visit you guys during the move.
Talk to you later!
