Finally Snow! Ice too!

We finally got our first snow, but before the snow feel we received rain! Our driveway could be used as a skating rink. The kids have been having fun though. With all the ice underneath the snow, sledding has been a favorite past time for the past few days. Walking back up this hill has created a problem or two though. We had to laugh at Jake the other day when we called him into the house. He was at the bottom of the hill when we called him and he said ok and then started to walk around the house. Brad asked him what he was doing and he told his dad that he was coming in. Brad told him to come on then, to at which Jake told him he was...he just had to go over to the side that had a tree he could grab ahold of to help him up the hill! Jake has also gotten tired of daddy constantly reminding him to be careful because it is slick. He told Brad the other day "I know it is slick, you don't have to keep telling me that!" When it comes right down to it I think daddy was talking to himself more then he was talking to Jake considering daddy has fallen three times and Jake has not even fallen once (at least not with daddy).

We put our little fake tree up last weekend. We were going to go and find a live one but the weather was not co-operating. We did not want to wait for our tree so we decided that we will go and get a real one for our outside instead. We're going to put a tree up in our front yard and let the kids have fun decorating it.
The girls have been on dad to put up lights on the outside. Dad thinks it would be a waste of time considering we live a mile off the road and no one can see our house. I have to agree, so this tree will add a little color and spirit to our yard.

All dad needed was a cup of "egg nog" and he would have been the definition of holiday cheer!!

We finally got some snow as well, about 6 to 7 inches so far. So nice to have some moisture! What fun it looks like the kids had sledding down that hill. Terri
