We spent last Saturday at the bowling alley in Lynch for Jayla's 8th birthday, we had pizza,
video games and bowling they all had a good time. I have to admit I left there wondering if Teaching really was the right career for me... But ultimately decided that it was :o)

It seemed that all the kids thought if they laid down then the ball would not only make it all the way down the alley but it would actually hit a pin as well, they were like little speed bumps spread out across the floor. We used two alleys, one had a bumper and the other didn't. A few of the kidos set new world records on how fast
a ball can get into the gutter.
Jayla had one in the gutter one second after she let go of the ball!

With there not being a cafe in town we had quite a few coffee drinkers that were there during the party, hopefully they were all grandparents that really missed their grand kids because they got a healthy dose of sugar hyped kids.
I started some of my field experience last week and had a good time. I am working in O'Neill with the first graders. There are three classes of about 17 and while I am assigned to one teacher, they have to be able to watch us "young" college students after all, I will get to work in all three of them. I realized that once again I am an oldie in this game when I walked through the door and my teacher said "oh you're a go back to schooler" She was glad though because she said the 19 and 20 year olds usually have no experience with children and she has to start with the
basics...not so with me :o) It is a nice school that was built only 10 years ago and I am looking forward to the experience.
Brad is getting ready for the heifers to start calving. We drove through them this morning and there are a few that are due I would say any day, fun times up ahead for Brad! We also got all our old cows back from corn stalks and our trying out a new type of feed...alcohol! It is a corn based alcohol that the cows lick and like an awful lot. I asked Brad if he had any concerns about the fact that we were turning our cows into alcoholics??? He doesn't seemed too concerned, probably due to the fact that they can't drive :o)
