I bet all of you were starting to think I had forgotten about you :o) Well after a long blogging break I am back and I am full of stories, as usual.We spent last weekend in Sioux City and had a great time. We wanted to do something as a 
family since things have been so crazy around here, it seems like we meet ourselves coming and going and calving is due to begin at the end of the month so it was now or never. We spent a day just seeing what the town had to offer. We made it to a Blue Bunny Ice Cream tour and a River Boat Museum. Believe it or not the kids had more fun at the museum 
then they had at Blue Bunny. Though they did enjoy the ice cream at the end of the tour :o) The rest of the weekend we spent shopping, swimming and eating. Jayla had some Birthday money and some saved money that she had burning a hole in her pocket and Kendra earned a few dollars by learning some multipilcation facts (yes we bribe our children with money in order to get them to learn things) and Jake got a few dollars for writing some numbers correctly. We found a toy store that was in a building shaped like a castle and it is here that Jayla spent almost all of her money. For those of you who do not know, Jayla is really into rocks so she bought some science experiments that grow crystals and a handful of pretty rocks. Brad also got into the theme of shopping when we went to a hunting 
store. Kendra being the girlie girl that she is bought some braclets and earings from her favorite store Claires. We all had a good time just hanging out in the mall and shopping.

no your eyes are not playing tricks on you that is in fact Brad playing along. We did have to tease and prod him into doing it but in the end he joined the fun. The red mark on his head is NOT from me beating him upside the head ;o) It is actually from his hat.
We have a bowling Birthday party tomorrow for Jayla so I will be sure to take my camera so I can get lots of pictures from that. I am sorry I have not been keeping up on this as well as I need to. I seem to be behind this semester and I am having a hard time catching up...do you think the weekend trip might have something to do with that :o) Hope all of you are well!
