External Construction...DONE!

Thanks to Marsha we have some very good pictures of all that went on here the last few days. The pictures pretty much speak for themselves so I will keep quite for most of it :o)

The boys started taking off the old siding before any of the contractors showed up. The kids and I were basically observers.

Rick, Gail, and Travis start the floor!

We now have a wall to go with our floor :o)
Moving right along.
Time to start shingling the roof. Brad was the shingle boy. He got them from the tractor bucket and took them to Rick up on the roof. He came in the house last night and decided he could be a cowboy a little longer, or at the very least he KNOWS he will never be a roofer!

Back side of the house. We got our new propane tank this past week as well. The house use to be heated with diesel but along with the new furnace comes a new tank. Now the internal stuff will start to be done though that will take a lot longer being as we all will be doing most of the work. Somewhere in all of this my husband mentioned that I knew how to tape and mud drywall so I now get to do that. I just pray I still remember what I am doing 20 years after the fact. As some of you may know my dad was cheap so when we redid our bedroom when we were younger dad put Heather and I to work taping, mudding, and sanding, I think I was 12 and Heather was 14, not exactly union quality workers there but we got the job done and we thought it looked nice.

Siding done! We actually have a door but Brad needs to chisel a little in order for it to shut all the way.
