The name of the game is...Humidity!

Have you ever had the pleasure of experiencing a day with 97 degree temperatures and 60% humidity? If you have then you know it is no picnic. If you add work to the above mentioned scenario, then you have my husband's afternoon. He came into the house to cool off at around 3:30 and hung his wet shirt on a kitchen chair. The small puddle you see is 100% sweat that dropped off his shirt! To the right is a picture of his pants, the back of his belt was wet all the way through. Misery has a name and it is humidity!

The good news is that it is supposed to cool off this weekend, so we are anxiously awaiting the weekend. Funny how everybody always looks forward to the weekend but usually it has to do with a fun activity they have planned. We look forward to it because we want to cool off!
The other night Kendra really wanted to go riding, however daddy was a little tired when he got to
the house (rightfully so being as he had worked for about 14 days straight), but he did not want to look like a mean ogre so he told her that if she could catch Dozer and get him saddled then she could ride him. He never thought she would even get him caught. It took her a little while and she had to enlist the help of her younger sister and in the end she did have to have daddy help her with the front cinch but other then that she did it all. She rode for about 20 minutes, which was how long Dozer humored her, before she unsaddled by herself and turned Dozer back out with his friends. She was pretty proud of herself, and rightfully so.

Last night we had a little camp cook out. We were supposed to go to the river but with all the rain our area has been getting the river was not a very smart choice so we made due. We did a winnie roast and smores. I think the kids enjoyed it even if it wasn't at the river.

School starts in just a few days. Wow this summer has went fast. The kids start on Monday and I start on Thursday. Many projects got started this summer, hopefully they will get finished this year ;o) Love to all!
