Fall is in the air

Wow! It amazes me how fast fall can come on. It seems like we are all complaining about the heat one day and than a week later we all need a jacket and we are starting the heater. I love the fall though, if it only wasn't the precursor to winter.

With fall comes fall sports. Kendra is playing Volleyball and loves it. She is afraid that next year she wont get to play, and in truthfulness she probably wont. There is only one girl in the 6th grade class and Kendra's class has only four and when you add them together you are short one girl, so next year they will all get to sit out and watch the high school. Until then she is enjoying it.

Jayla is still young enough that she doesn't get to do volleyball but that doesn't stop her from helping Kendra. They have been practicing quite a lot, with a mini basketball. Now I know what you are thinking, buy those girls a volleyball! To at which I have to answer, we did. They left it outside though and our dog decided to play with it and chewed a hole in it so now the girls have to buy the next one and they have decided that they will just use a mini basketball.

These are pictures from earlier this summer. I realized that I had not shared any pictures of the new deck. We still need to paint/stain it and we are going to put lattice around the bottom, but that will probably not be completed until next spring.
