The big news for the week is that Jayla got glasses! She can now see and is no longer the poor blind kid being neglected by the uncaring/neglectful parents. She has been guilt tripping since she put them on and could see things that were nothing but "blobbs" before. I asked her how it was that she never mentioned that things looked like big blobbs before. She had her eyes checked about 3 years ago and she had no problems. So I asked her, "what did you think happened to all the signs that use to be along the road...in the stores...in your classroom?" I mean, I know I can't relate to having a need for glasses, but I am pretty sure that if all the billboards along the highways no longer have advertisements on them but rather are just huge rectangles in the air I am going to get suspicious that there might be a problem. If all my teachers start hanging colorful rectangles around the room with nothing on them I am going to wonder why?!?! Regardless, she is good to go now :)

I like to call this one "Driving Ms. Dasiy" or "Mr. Brad"

This is Jake's new toy. He now loves helping Brad feed because daddy lets him drive this from gate to gate. He thinks he is pretty important stuff when he gets to drive this. He makes me smile every time I see him in it because he is so small yet he drives it like he is the head honcho in charge.

My class, ok they are not really mine but I still refer to them as being mine, has been creating a community within our classroom for Social Studies. My teacher had never done anything like this but she was willing to let me give it a shot. I was leery being as neither one of us have ever done one but our class is such a good class with a fair amount of boys and girls that like to be challenged. I am so happy that I went ahead and did it! It has been challenging for me as well as the kidos but some of them are really going to town on their projects. I made ID tags for everyone and made them a part of a crew/department (power department, road crew etc.). They have to work together to get things done and they really are. I am a very happy and excited person...now if only I will get a job in a second grade classroom I will be set ;)

Having a camera with you at all times allows for some interesting photographs. While in town for Kendra's Dr. appt. we were able to go to the "mall" and play a little. It was just us girls for the day so we took our time and had fun. Kendra does need to get her tonsils/anoids out and we will most likely do that in December. Her adnoids are completely blocking her nasal cavity so with their removal she will be able to finally breathe through her nose, something she currently can't do. Makes going to a dentist dang near impossible.

Halloween was full of drama and a mean mama! Mom was tired when she got home and received a minimum of 5 calls on her way home all from small children demanding that she take them here or there so they could meet up with friends. That was what created the mean mama, the drama was created by the teenager. The teenager was mad because the mean mama would not take her to her friends house but rather told her that she could walk to their house and she would meet up with her in an hour. The idea of walking "that far" was too much for the teenager and she said 'fine, I'll just stay with Jayla and Jake'...only her phrasing was a little more dramatic :)

She looks so sweet...don't be fooled ;)
