The end result of our classroom community.
Kendra had her first basketball game today and Brad and I missed it. We assumed that she would not get to play being as she is only one of two seventh graders on the team and she hasn't even been taught any plays yet. So Brad and I assumed that there was no chance in her playing. Well that will teach us for thinking. Her team played twice and she played half of each game. SO we got a good guilt trip. She is getting to be hard to photograph. She is after all waaaayyy to cool to stand and pose and smile for a camera.
This blog has not been cooperating with me tonight so the pictures are just randomly placed. They are mainly of our trip to North Platte and Jake's birthday. The above one is JJ and I just wanted to show how well she is doing. She is running (mostly) a mile a day and we have started to send her lunch everyday to school. Not to sound negative but school lunches are crap and in order to try and be healthier we no longer eat breakfast there (sorry to say I used to do that since it was so easy...) and we don't do the lunches.
I am about to start my final week within the classroom and it is bitter sweet. I tried to convince my cooperating teacher that she has had a good career, she has taught for almost 20 years after all. I told her that I would be more then willing to step right in and take over for her...she wasn't willing, can you imagine??? I will get to sub though so hopefully my name and number goes on their speed dial. All the teachers on my wing have assured me that they will request me, now they just need to take a day off now and then!
My graduation will be on the 16th and one and all of you would be welcome to attend. I did not send out true announcements for a few reasons, one of which is due to the fact that I am 34 years old and graduation celebrations are kind of a "welcome to the real world" type of thing. I've been in the real world for a while now. The other reason for not sending out announcements is due to the fact that I don't want anyone feeling as if they have to send anything for it. As stated above I am 34 years old, way past the prime graduation time. So even though you did not get an announcement feel assured that you would be welcome to travel up north...way up north ;)

big 8 a few weeks ago, I know I am really behind. He ended up with a double Birthday of sorts. The kids and I went down to North Platte to meet my sister and spend the weekend together. She brought him a Bronco cake since he is totally into football right now. We went to the rec center to swim and went to the mall to shop...all we needed to have a perfect weekend, minus Brad and my mom.
