I guess I am down to doing a blog once a month now. I find myself running out of time and lacking photographs to do one properly. Add to that the fact that I never seem to have my real camera with me anymore and you have a very neglected blog. True to form most of these photos were taken with my phone so they are not the best. But they will give you a general idea about what is going on with the Fromans.
Two weeks ago I took the girls along with two of their friends to Sioux City for a shopping day. They had fun, and I survived. Kendra and her friend got to experience the cat and mouse game boys and girls play. Let me tell you boys know what they are doing. They followed the girls around talking about who they thought was cuter, the one wearing the hat or the one with the long hair. Talked about whether or not they were single and if they would be interested. talked about them just long enough to get them interested and then went the other direction. To at which the girls then spent the remainder of the afternoon following THEM around. Boys aren't as dumb as they look ;o)
Jake's class had a little play where they performed a few fables they have been reading. Jake was a wolf for one of them, he was a last minute substitution when the original wolf refused to go on. Then he was a dog in the "Dogs and the Hide". The whole thing took about 20 minutes but the kids were excited to do it and they even got their dad's to show up, even of they all huddled together in the corner.
We were quite the cheese balls while shopping at the mall. I tell you, it is not hard to tell we are true blue Coloradoians. All you need to do is show us something that is based in CO and we are fans. Jake is a huge Tebow fan and when we saw the Jockey advertisement with his face on it we had to be geeky and take our pictures by it.
While swimming at the hotel Jake was wandering around with his goggles so tight that it amazed me that they didn't leave permanent marks. We have found that he is very sensitive to chlorine and his eyes will burn for hours if he doesn't wear goggles. I knew goggles protected your eyes, I did not realize that they could double as ear blockers as well. Kids are amazing, they can wear shoes on the wrong feet and apparently they can swim with their ears folded in half and not be bothered.
The girls were having fun, chasing each other around in circles. They ran around the pool for 45 minutes I think. It was great exercise.
It is hard to tell with this picture but this is a bald eagle, and if he would have just sat tight for 20 more seconds I would have had an awesome picture. Instead I got his tail and with the way the sun was shinning you can't even tell it was an eagle. For some reason right now we have a large amount of bald eagles hanging out on the river between here and Yankton. Somewhere between 30 and 40, though not all are old enough that they have the white heads. It is really awesome to see them. They are smart enough to stay far enough away that you can't get a really got shot of them with just a normal camera, but I tried.
This was Jake the other day doing his favorite pass time, Madden football on the wii :o)
