Dishwashers and firearms...

Ok not really a firearm, more like a BB gun but the girls sure thought they were shooting something big. Kendra was braced and ready for the kick, sadly it was never to come. It sure was funny though watching her squint her eyes and tense her shoulders waiting for it. She has been so mad that I have not let her have a BB gun until she turned 9, since of course "all her friends have them". In true mother fashion I told her I didn't care. They did not do too bad, they even hit the target a time or two. I think I am channeling my dad though as I watch them, I can hear him very clearly telling me to "spread your legs, get a stance" and "get your elbow up", it brings back very nice memories for me.

Here (finally) is my new dishwasher and counter. When we first moved in the clothes washer was here (that's right in my kitchen) and we had no dishwasher. This was one of my requirements, with three kids the idea of doing dishes by hand for all meals was more then I was willing to do. Yes I hear all you "older" ladies, and I know that you did not always have a dishwasher and you washed everything by hand, but hey what can I say I am a product of my generation and we are a spoiled generation! It is in now though and I am thrilled. Brad is glad that it is over with as well since he is not much of a carpenter. I had to put ear plugs on the boy during the time that Brad was attaching the counter top to the cupboards, it was not pretty.

We did some family pictures
and this was one of the ones with the
kidos. Boy is it hard to get all kids
looking at the camera at the
same time!

This is not a good picture
but at least you know we are
still alive :o)

Well the girls and I are headed to CO this week (yes again), it
seems we are in that state more now then when we lived there ;o) I am doing Terri's family craft show again and it is this up coming weekend. I really enjoy doing it and it gives me an excuse to go down and see family and friends again. Brad and Jake will be staying here, so please say a prayer for them :o) I have a feeling Brad may actually miss me this time. Though he did have Jake with him the last time he went to CO, along with Nanny Ellen, Grams, Aunt Francie and cousin Di. This time it is just the two of them, I would like to be a fly on the wall around day 3! I'll just say that Jake is definitly a Cordsen and he can talk like one, loud and a lot!!

Heidi - I just love your blog. You are a very gifted writer. In your spare time, you should start writing a book :) -- No, I'm serious!
