Family, Friends and Flooding

Where to begin. The first half of June was very busy, in a good way. We left for Colorado on the 3rd and spent a week visiting friends and family. On the docket was a family wedding (Brad's) and a family reunion (Heidi's). In between we visite
d and played so there are an awful lot of pictures, not sure how many I can fit in but I will try and get as many as I can.The family wedding was held in Allan's Park which is up in the mountains by Estes Park. Diane and Oliver could not have picked a better place for their nuptials. It was a beautiful wedding and kind of reminded Brad and I of our wedding 13 years earlier. Though they had mountain views and we had prairie views it did have some similarities.I had so much fun taking pictures while up in the mountains. When you have a beautiful backdrop like the Colorado Rockies you can't help but take lots of pictures in my opinion.

Jake was striking a pose for sure. He enjoyed all the rock climbing though I was having issues with it. The only thing I could think about was how our insurance is based out of Nebraska and how expensive an out of program hospital bill would be!

Jayla was in heaven because of all the rocks. For those of you that don't know Jayla very well she LOVES rocks! Every summer it is a fight to get her to keep rocks out of her pockets and in turn out of my washer and dryer. She says she wants to be a Geologists or a Paleontologist and I think she has a shot at it if she still loves it as much when she is older as she does now.

Kendra just loved being in the mountains. She is not really a rock girl like Jayla but she really likes looking at the mountains and wants to know the name of each one. I am no help to her unfortunately, I know Pikes Peak and we were no where near that mountain. She did finally find someone that could tell her that we were looking at Mount Meeker.

After the wedding we headed to Colorado Springs to meet up with the Evan's family, I am going to have to save that story for the next blog however because I think I have about reached my picture limit. Stay tuned, I might actually do two of these on the same day! We also have the rain to cover so don't go anywhere...
