Good Morning

This is the Niobrara river and our entrance. The river is located just behind the trees and we are told that there is a great fishing hole there. We actually spent last Saturday afternoon fishing in one of our ponds. We took the kids and their Barbie and spiderman fishingpoles along with some worms we dug up and had a grand time catching "bait". The kids had a great time and it worked out for the best as the fish were so small that the kids were able to help throw them back into the water. Kendra was getting to the point where she could cast by herself and bait her own hook. After much drama we were able to finally get Jake to touch his fish and eventually he was throwing them back all by himself. He dropped a few here and there but they all ended up back in the water. Jayla is our natual fisher. She was catching one about every minute. Brad made the comment that he was going to need to bring a table out next time because his relaxing afternoon of drinking beer and watching the kids fish was turning into work and he had no where to set his beer down. The only problem now is that the kids beg nightly to go fishing again. We have promised to go again soon considering that Brad and I had a good time too. We enjoyed it enough in fact that we went and bought a fishingpole for Brad and I as well as some bait, hooks and a tackle box. It was nice to just get out a play a little. This really is a beautiful place. While fishing we could hear the turkeys in the background along with frogs and other creatures we are not yet familiar with. Unfortunitly I forgot to take my camera and I was kicking myself over and over for that one. Next time I will be sure to grab it.
